A male model and influencer has shared an underwear confession – admitting he often wears panties instead of boxers.

Brazilian star Israel Cassol, 40, says he usually prefers to wear briefs because they are “more comfortable” than boxers.

He also argued that he should be able to wear whatever he wants because “lingerie has no gender”.

Israel, which has 615,000 Instagram followers, made the revelation during a week-long fashion show in London.

He said people started asking him about his choice of underwear when he “paraded in lingerie” while sporting a lace all-over look.

The theme of the show was diversity and inclusion, which gave the influencer the opportunity to raise her flag in favor of genderless fashion, including underwear.

He argues that “lingerie has no sex”

“Talking about asexual fashion has made it easier for others to recognize themselves, to be who they are,” he told CO Press.

“We live in an era of changing patterns.”

Although many designers are taking note of genderless fashion, Israel says there is still some resistance from the public.

“Men make up half of the global market, so stylists are watching us,” he said.

“The problem is public resistance.”

He also says panties are “more comfortable” than boxers.

The confession comes after Israel made headlines in May after revealing it had spent R$300,000 (£50,000) on HD Lips to transform its abs.

He said he underwent the procedure after being diagnosed with andropause – known as “male menopause”.

The model said it caused him to struggle with his weight and meant he suffered from low self-esteem.
