(MARE) – Dimas and Yasmine are Hispanic siblings who seek their forever home together. Dimas is an extremely sweet and affectionate boy who enjoys swimming, being outdoors and playing with figures and cars. He is eager to please others and appreciates the attention of adults. Dimas gets along well with his sister, as well as with the other children. Dimas receives additional supports in school and may do better in a significantly separate classroom. He has recently discovered hearing loss.
Yasmine is a sweet and caring young girl who loves her older brother. She enjoys arts and crafts, swimming, playing with dolls and riding a bicycle. Yasmine wears hearing aids to help with hearing loss, but does not need to use sign language. Because hearing loss was discovered more recently, Yasmine has speech delays, for which she receives extra support in school.
Legally released for adoption, Dimas and Yasmine will bring joy to a patient family from any constellation that understands their limitations. They will do well as only children in a home or with older or younger siblings. An ideal family for siblings will be loving and able to make a lasting commitment to them.

Since its inception in 1981, Wednesday’s Child has been a collaborative effort between the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange (MARE), the Department of Children & Families, and WBZ-TV / CBS Boston. Hosted by Jack Williams for 34 years, this weekly series has given a face and a voice to the children who are waiting the longest for families. Wednesday’s Child has helped find homes for hundreds of waiting children and continues to raise awareness of foster family adoption.
