Luke Bryan turned 45 on Saturday, and the singer marked the milestone by performing a crowded amphitheater show in Bristow, Va., on his Proud to Be Right Here tour.
But if you know anything about the Bryan family, you know the country superstar’s wife, Caroline, can not pass up any opportunity for a prank, even if the subject of this prank is on tour and away from home.
Caroline and the rest of Luke’s family, including her two sons Bo and Tatum, surprised the singer with a mini-party on stage, with a table full of gag gifts. Among them were a pair of Jockey-branded underwear – a nod to the Jockey commercials Luke recently starred in – a six-pack of his own Two Lane beer, and more.
“Alright, shit. I have a lamp, a fire extinguisher and more Jockey underwear. Lays potato crisps⦔ Luke said to the crowd as he considered his birthday, before suggesting that ‘they all join him and his family for a “Happy Birthday” chorus.
“Tate, do you want to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to me?” Bo? Luke continued, turning to his 13 and 10 year old sons jokingly. “Don’t you all want to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ to your dad?” It’s horrible. After all I’ve done for all of you.
Of course, Luke finally got his birthday wish, with the crowd singing a “Happy Birthday” series to him. On stage, the singer’s family sang, just like his first parts Caylee Hammock and Dylan scott, who had returned to the stage for the surprise after performing earlier that night.
Additional posts Caroline shared on social media shows more behind-the-scenes birthday fun, which included a dance party on Luke’s tour bus and a cake.
